Shaping

Every shape starts from your own brow.

  • Map and shape

    45–60 min

We measure with thread and a pencil, draw the shape for you to approve, then shape with tweezers. The place to begin if you are new to us.

Add-ons

Added to a visit above.

Prices are set by the service and your artist's level, and the booking page shows them when you choose a time.

How pricing works

Every price on the booking page follows from the same few things.

  • What decides the price

Three things set what a visit costs: the service, the time it takes, and your artist's level. You see the price for your choice before you confirm.

    • The service: a shape, a tint, a lamination, or a mix

    • The time booked, from a 20-minute tidy to a 75-minute lamination with tint

    • Your artist's level, from junior to lead

  • What the consultation covers

A first visit begins with a conversation and a map of your brow. We talk through the shape, the color if you want tint, and what to expect, and no work starts until you agree. The map is part of your appointment.

  • How levels set the price

Our five artists work at four levels: junior, artist, senior and lead. The booking page shows each artist's level beside their name, and the price follows the level, so the same service with a different artist can cost a different amount. You choose who you book.

  • Add-ons and changes on the day

A tint, or lip or chin threading, added to a visit is priced by the time it adds. Ask for one when you book, or at the start of your visit, and your artist tells you what it adds before they begin.

  • Deposits

Maps, shape and tint visits and laminations take a deposit that holds your time and goes toward your service. The booking page shows the deposit for the artist you choose. Thread, wax and tidy visits book with no deposit.

  • Canceling or running late

Give 24 hours' notice to cancel or move a visit at either location, and your deposit moves with you. With less notice, we keep it.

  • Tipping

Tips are welcome and never expected. You can add one when you pay at the end of your visit.

  • Gift cards and packages

Gift cards come in any amount and work at both locations. Buy one online or ask at either front desk.

Artists

Five artists, four levels

Each artist's level, door and days, so you can book the person as well as the place.

  • Inga Mobley, owner and lead artist, standing in a bright treatment room

    Inga Mobley

    Owner and lead artist

    • Esthetician license · AL Lic. # 000000

Lead level. At Bessemer, Tuesday to Saturday. Inga opened Mocha so a careful brow visit would be a short drive from home or work, and she trains every artist on the team. She maps and shapes every kind of brow.

  • Sondra Kersey, senior artist, in a cream tunic in the studio

    Sondra Kersey

    Senior artist

    • Esthetician license · AL Lic. # 000000

Senior level. At Hueytown, Monday to Thursday. Sondra is the one to book for lamination, and for a shape that needs to be drawn and redrawn until it feels right.

  • Kaila Hines, brow artist, seated in a calm treatment room

    Kaila Hines

    Artist

    • Esthetician license · AL Lic. # 000000

Artist level. At Bessemer, Tuesday to Friday. Kaila shapes with thread and tweezers and does most of the tint visits at Bessemer.

  • Ashia Barkley, junior brow artist, carrying a towel at a treatment room door

    Ashia Barkley

    Junior artist

    • Esthetician license · AL Lic. # 000000

Junior level. At Hueytown, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. Ashia takes thread shapes, wax shapes and tidy visits between maps.

  • Clarisa Fierros, brow artist, seated on a stool in the studio

    Clarisa Fierros

    Artist

    • Esthetician license · AL Lic. # 000000

Artist level. At Hueytown, Monday and Tuesday, and at Bessemer, Friday and Saturday, so she is the artist to book if you use both doors. Clarisa also speaks Spanish.

One set of policies, at both doors

The same rules apply in Bessemer and Hueytown, so you only read them once.

Booking and deposits

A deposit holds your time for a map and shape, a shape and tint, or a lamination, and it goes toward your service. Thread, wax and tidy visits book with no deposit. The booking page marks which services take one, and you book either location on the same page.

Canceling and running late

Please give 24 hours' notice to cancel or move a visit, at either location. Your deposit moves with you. With less notice, we keep it. If you are running late, we hold your time for 10 minutes, and after that your visit is shortened, not extended.

If you miss an appointment

If you miss a visit without a word, we keep the deposit and ask for one to hold your next visit. If something comes up, call or text the location you booked and we'll find another time.

Patch tests and allergies

Tint is offered where state rules allow it, and we patch test every new client before a first tint or lamination, a day or more ahead, at either location. A patch test helps but can't predict every reaction, so tell us about allergies, sensitive skin or eyes, and any reaction you've had to dye or adhesive. If you notice burning, swelling, redness or blurred vision after a visit, tell us and call your doctor or go to urgent care.

If you're not happy

Tell us within a few days and we'll make it right. Your artist or the lead will look at your brows with you and say what we can do.

Questions

Before you pick a time

Which location should I book?

Whichever is on your way. Both offer every service and follow the same policies, and the booking page shows each artist's door and days. Moving a visit from one door to the other is fine.

How often should I come back?

Most clients return every three to five weeks to keep a shape. Your artist will tell you what suits your hair at the end of your visit.

Should I choose a tint or a lamination?

A tint deepens the color of your brow hair, and a lamination sets the hairs upward. Many clients book both. Tell your artist what you want to see in the mirror and they'll talk you through it.

What if I react to a tint?

Reactions can happen. If you notice redness, itching, burning or swelling, tell us and call your doctor. We stop the service and note it for next time.
